In my opinion B&O should open a register with stolen products (serial no.) If they make possible on-line registration why shouldn't they provide a data base with stolen products? And this list should be public!

I do sometimes shopping at ebay and I want to be sure the product is not stolen... I hope B&O will catch up.

I was always under the impression that B&O kept a list of serial numbers centrally (for warranty claims at least) and that you could some how 'update' the items you owned to help with insurance claims etc.

Is this correct? and has anyone actually done it?

I tend to keep a Word document listing all my B&O hardware with serial numbers just in case.

We did start a register but it was not used. Dealers can track back serial numbers as Mobey says so always worth asking for high value products.

Is there any public place on the web where I can check if a B&O system is stolen or not? Please advise.
