Oh, sorry I didn't mean it rude :-) It just sounded like "ok, this thing is broken: contact your dealer for repair!" :-)

It plays only some tracks from the middle or somewhere inside the track. It's just a 512MB card inserted (Panasonic). The tracks played from the middle are always the same as far as I can hear.

I have had a BS2 for a long time and am probably more experienced with them then even the engineers who made the damn thing. Firstly is it playing the tracks in a set but wrong order? If so then its in the wrong mode. It is in iTunes when it should be in windows or vice versa. If it is playing the actual trtack starting half way through, then its pretty much busted. As strong as they seem they can break. Mine gave me excellent servce for 4 years, when one day I dropped it, in an attempt to break the fall, I kicked it. A bit too hard, it flew in the air, hit the ceiling and bounced back down on the wooden floor. There was no physical damage, not even a dent. But the music would play in slow motion. If I shook the player the music would go back to normal but only momentarily. Eventually I had to have it fixed, it cost £190.

BTW. I did realize that the Beosound 2 isn't compatible with large memory cards. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I tried every key-combination mentioned in the usermanual but it doesn't work. There's no feedback if this thing resets and it will not even format my SD card (I tried another one, both are quality brand cards from panasonic, 512MB).

Any hints?

Have you tried pressing both down buttons simultaneously? Also, try deleting all the music off of the card and putting a fresh lot of files on there, the sd cards get easily corrupted.

Hi,

I've got a serious problem with my Beosound 2:

- It plays some tracks right in the middle (or somewhere else) but NOT from the beginning of the track

- I can not reset that thing (button combination from manual doesn't work)

I've tried another card reader, another memory card but still the same ...

any hints or tips?
