Someone on the forum (might be Peter??) has said before that they have CX's in their bathroom. They have never suffered from foam rot, possibly due to the moisture in the air.

No, I wouldn't be afraid of using BeoLabs there. The main reason for me not to use active speakers is the risk that someone will take them.

The BeoLink Passive is basically a ML control eye and an amplifier. The amplifier would sit indoors somewhere, with a long lead to connect to the IR eye which could be seated outdoors somewhere along with the speakers.

No, I have glass doors and a roof at the veranda. Even if the veranda isn't 100% enclosed I think they will be OK. Will of course only have them there during summertime.

I don't like bying used stuff, but here I have no choice becaues the Beovox 1 doesn't fit. I would love a Beovox 2, a free standing passive speaker like CX50.

I would never use BeoLabs outdoors, most definitely not recommended.

B&W's weatherproof speakers are fantastic, and together with a BeoLink Passive should do everything you want...

yes indeed,

i was asking myself the same question six months ago. after a lot of looking around on the web and in the shops, i installed a pair of the b&w wm series speakers. they are very nice.

I agree the B&W WM series are very good and work excellently with the Beolink passive.

I would probably consider using a pair of dedicated passive out-door speakers (B&W makes some nice ones) and then using a beolink passive amp situated inside.
