Chris another question if you can give me an answer to. The Avants made for UK market what standard are they only PAL PAL/SECAM or other combination PAL/...

Hi dimka,

if you can find out the model number it can be cross referenced against the product information on the main site. This is the best way of being sure if it is RF or not.

Would it be lots of difference in the picture quality?Actually I am trying to buy Avont which is produced late 2002 and the guy who sells it have no idea if the Tv is RF or not. Would you have an Idea when the RF was introduced for the Avants.This is a 2002 model as I said.

Would be much appreciated if I can get some feedback on this.Also I am interested the Avants which are made for the UK market,are day PAL/SECAM or just a PAL or other combination PAL/...

Hello dimka,

you´re right. the earlier avants had curved tube. As there is a neraly plane contrast screen in front of the tube the difference on the first look (design) is quite small.

the main difference (opticaly) ist that the rf version has no plastic frame (from frontview) aroung the contrast screen. The contrast screen on the rf version is REAL FLAT (RF)

RF = Real Flat screen as opposed to the curved screens of earlier models. They will also be newer.

Someone with greater knowledge than me will be able to give you a more technical answer.
