No questions are stupid. It seems you need an american iTunes account to view the iMix. However, being a copycat and just making the same list yourself in your national store should be a piece of cake :-)

Dear all.

I have taken the liberty of putting together the Beoworld Compilation Volume 1 on iTunes iMix again. These mixes only last a year, and then they get removed by Apple. That happened to the original mix by some other member of Beoworld. I do not take any credit at all - just wanted to let folks know that the mix is up and about again.

This is, according to some Beoworld members, a compilation perfect for soundproofing your B&O set. In lack of lists from those who might disagree (please post your list!) this is what we've got ready for pickup.

I can take no other credit than having been blown away myself by this recording. As you say, an incredible achievement in the remastering work.

Personally, I haven't been able to find anything that comes close in enveloping immediacy and soundstage -- maybe some of the work by Orchestre National de Jazz. But I think it's the live nature and atmosphere here that grabs one, and that adds life to what the orchestra is doing.

Listening with four speakers to this must be real fun!

I joined the Ellingtonclub also. It is an incredible job that mr Phil Schaap has done with these old recordings. Sounds great! Wonderful music and these old recordings have proved to be "Soundproof"

Thanks for mention it here! I play it on 4 Pentalabs and it feels as the complete orchestra is sitting in my livingroom. Almost no space for me.

I will go for any well sounding/recorded types of music. Ok one of my few Jazz bits is from Carnige Hall 1938 so not the most perfect but great music.
Anyway there seems to be a lack of flair here. Any hardrock fans here at all? I listen to all kinds of music but hardrock and heavy still sounds good on a B&O system. What about Deep Purple Machinehead at a good volume?
Remember Black Velvet by Allanah Myles? Her debut album from 1989 sounds awsome on a Beogram 8002.
I think most people if is a Beogram will go: Is that vinyl?
If it's well recorded a Beocord can sound just as good.

My introduction to B&O was playing Deep Purple, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd Gillan and the rest on my father's system in the late seventies and early 1980's. Prog rock sounds awesome on a B&O too.

Now middle age is upon me my tastes have mellowed a bit but the hard rock still comes out from time to time, listed to Gary Moore on vinyl the other day and it sounded fantastic.

Been listening last night and this morning. It's sounds incredibly fresh for a recording that is more than 50 years old!
