I don't have/have not used the DVD2. However, check the basics. Have you pulled the power cable out of the back? Push it to see if it goes back in. This might be your problem - check the basics first.

Try pushing it in towards the tray. Try one side then the other. I wouldn't worry - It doesn't sound broken.

This is a common fault.

Check if the little plastic arm has come off the face plate.

Dont panic. Dont open it up. It may be a warranty issue.

No it didnt snap i think and it doesnt look broken just if i push it up it goes down again

Look: I will explain:

Its a dvd 2 and we wanted to watch a movie with it so i pulled the above part down and we watched, and now it doesnt close anymore

The dvd isnt working i pulled it open but nothing appears to be broken it just doesnt close im talking about dvd2

Sounds like an Avant and a DVD2. I am not familiar with the DVD2, but someone will surely be along shortly.

Still not completely clear - which bit is not working - the DVD2 or the TV? The DVD2 doesn't open automatically and has to be closed manually. Is actually a Philips. B&O equipment usually has fail safe mechanisms for the lids so don't panic! I guess you are house sitting someone's system! If yours, I would suggest a few things but the best thing to do if not yours is leave well alone - the owner will probably know how to fix it - you run the risk of making it worse.
