I tried the DVD1 directly into AV2 of the LX and it works fine so there is a problem with the AVX1 not transmitting the pin 8 signal. It must be a dodgey scart plug connection no doubt caused by everyday use of the motorised stand.

Reconnect the scart cable. Commands are sent through pin number 8, so if it is disconnected, it can cause this problem.

hmmm...

have you made any recent changes, as in re-cabling?

i think that is good practice, if b&o doesn't already state this...

to make all your connections prior to powering up.

i would suggest trying:

1.) power both devices down

2.) recheck connections

3.) power back up after 1+minutes.

4.) confirm on-screen setup.

My DVD1 is no longer responding to commands via my LX5500. I does work fine using the buttons on the front of the DVD player. I checked the scart leads and found no problems. I use an AVX1 expander and there is no problem with that. I use CDV for the DVD1 but have also tried VTape2 and all scart sockets and nothing happens. Any suggestions?
