i don't know that the RS4 needs a sound system at all. i'd be happy just to listen to the engine and the exhaust note.

I saw a programme on the TV the other day the put gallardo against an RS4 wagon. same driver same day same track. the lambo was less the 1/2 a second quicker. pretty big props for the family wagon.

We are too going to be on the market for Audi Q7 early next year however I doubt I will go with the B&O option since we are leasing and not buying. It's nice to have favorite brands come together

I wonder the pricing / availability is. My wife and are were looking at Q7's over the weekend, and we'll be in the market towards the end of the year. It was nice to see a BS9000 with BL8000's on display next to the A8 on the showroom floor as well.

A salient comment about cheapening the brand. Caused me do a google search and I found the following regarding Rolex. I certainly respect that brand and product. While there is an even higher mark in watches, and a 20 whatever will keep better time (my very moderate Breitling offers "estimated time"), it is a benchmark for quality and prestige.

Don't know about margins, but that would suggest turnover over 4 Billion US. If that were Bang & Olufsen sales, the average store turnover would be over 3 Million US (If those statements are close to true and my math is reasonable). My guess is there is a way to go before the market gets saturated and the brand is tarnished.

Doubtfull that current A3/A4 will have B&O audio optional,

as f.e. A4 is about to be replaced by the new model.

Considering that the new Audi A5 is the first model from the platform of the new A4,

(it basically is the coupé of the new A4),

it would seem logical that the new A4 can be ordered with B&O audio,

probably not the Advanced Sound System, but the Premium Sound System.

The Audi A5 and R8 can be equipped with the Premium Sound System (A5 € 895,-, R8 € 1440,-),

The Audi A8 and Q7 (autumn 2007) can be equipped with the Advanced Sound System.

More details will be added shortly.

I really do wish they would give it as an option further down the range, even if it was only on the higher specs like the RS4 and the S3. I would understand if it was more expensive than in the A8, R8 or Q7 due to size/weight restrictions and the lower trade in value of the existing system, but would happily pay the premium.

But then everyone will have and know about B&O. Already B&O is becoming too common for my liking. Although I'm getting one, the cost of the BV8 will just draw in a whole load of new customers. Is B&O getting too gready?

Yeh I agree with you. However Audi has recently upped its game I think. The Q7 is certainly better than an ML or X5 in my opinion, and the A8 certainly competes with the S Class.

It would be cool if B&O made a player in the Audi's as well.

as it seems, B&O is about to take over the entire range of AUDI. would be a good thing, because the bose systems are no equal to what B&O offers.
