WOW! thats cheap. For Beocenter 1 i was quoted $1000 for the dolby surround card and $700 for a new back cover to be fitted to accommodate the change... crazyness

Did you find one of the modules for a BV3-32? Did you get a quote from a dealer?

I have just brought an imaculate BV3-32 for 400 euro but it came without the module

If a module is reasonably priced then I might upgrade but then I would need to start buying BeoLabs

Is it possible to drive the tape inputs of a quad BeoMaster (3400 or 6000) from the Front/Rear output from a surround module? Can the subwoofer output of the surround module drive a non B&O active subwoofer?

thanks BEOBEO, and others for your info. I had the AV9000 with it built in , but updated when wanted DVD instead, i got beovision3 but forgot about the set up for other speakers. i have 2 of the 4 outlet cards, off of ebay, ( damm it lol ) . will try and source a 5 outlet card. And yes the speakers are B & O to connect up, as the old system.!!

For spares yes but not for accessories. I suspect the problem will be software related, you can't just stick the DSS module in and hope for the best, you need to replace the TV software to the correct level - you'll have to visit your dealer for that.

I didn't know that was the policy. I don't expect it to come cheap though. Probably on the 400€ ballpark figure..

I agree - think you can only use the surround module. Good news is that it is still available as I've just had one fitted to my BV3.

You need the original Dolby Surround module, that comes as an option in the BV3-32 and as standard in all BV Avants. You need the one with 5 powerlinks as I believe the older one with 4 powerlinks will not work in BV3's.

If you wait until I get home this afternnon european time I can give you the part number.

I'm not sure you can still get it from a dealer, the chances are that is discontinued. Your best option will be probably e-Bay or post it in the wanted section of the Forum.

Obvioulsy the module I'm mentioning will only work with B&O loudspeakers... if you intend to use non-B&O ones the solution is not that straight forward.

I have got a Beo Vision 3, 32" and I have bought 2 sound cards (trying to get the 4 speaker output) - 1 is a pro logic and other possibly dolby surround. I plugged them in 1 at a time and in both cases the tv refuses to turn on. What am I doing wrong? Or are they the right cards for the wrong tv model? HELP
