I will be visiting my B&O store next week so I can ask. (I bought the Serene in second hand and got only french-manual and I'd like to swap it to a finnish one. I have read the finnish manual on the web but i'd prefer having a printed one and I wouldn't print it myself).

So far I haven't use any PIM software but I might give it a try if it would give me any use.

Mine is E910XXFI1, i think is the last one, but I'm not sure. F:REV 1.0C is the same in mine.

This software allows you to synchronize the PIM via bluetooth.

and

*#1111# says: F:REV 1.0C

Are these old or new revisions? I will be visiting the B&O shop next week and I can ask them to update the phone if that is applicable.

To see the software, press *#1234#

To see the firmware, press *#1111#

Maybe is on contrary, i am not sure. And yes, your dealer can update the software.

Is there any piece of software that runs on Serene? So far I have found nothing - even the Opera Mini browser which download page indentifies the phone as Samsung E-910 as it should be, the download won't start (Serene gives error message).

Does anyone have any idea if B&O or Samsung are going to make any software updates for Serene ever? Like using customized ringtones, I believe this is only because that the software doesn't allow it but it could be changed by changing the software. (Also I have seen notes that the early versions of the software were unstable - how can one check what version there is currently? Do they upgrade these at B&O stores?).

I hope I could avoid scratches as longs as possible!

I am already familiar with the "wow" factor: everyone I have shown the phone...

Also one can setup a greeting-text to be shown on the default screen, that's found somewhere from the screen settings....

How about its auto-personalisation of my sms inbox, it just decided to delete every single sms i had on the phone!

:) It does get focus though; every time i cross the eurostar security and airports, the guards ask "whats that" Im like "its my phone".

When they open it they go "wow" with loads of angry passengers waiting right behind him

I have just bought my Serene after a long consideration. I also went to test it on a local B&O shop first. The phone was bought from eBay as new, for only 500 eur.

I have read that the Serene's is a phone that can't be personalized that much - the ringtones are the ones included and there is no way to make your own background for the default screen.

So my question is: what can be done to personalize Serene? Have you found a good program that runs on it? What settings do you have found the most usefull? And finally: what do you like/dislike in Serene?
