I have the same screen as you, can you tell me if your tv is on floorstand or hanging on the wall. Mine is hanging on the wall, using a "wall-close" bracket from STB Brackets, and i am worried that by hanging it so close to the wall, the humming is beeing bounced off the wall, and therfore is so loud in my living room.

/Weebyx

Re: Who experiences "humming" noise on BV7-40 MKIII ?

I also hear a humming noise when the backlighting of the LCD-screen (LTA400HS-LH2) is on.

I tested it by turning on the radio or playing a CD in the internal DVD player (screen is off) and then pressed [MENU] on the Beo4 so that the backlighting switches on to display the TV-menu.

But I can only hear it when the room is totally silent, the volume is muted and when I'm sitting very close to the TV (1 meter)
I can't hear the humming noise when I turn up the volume.
I don't play the TV very loud. When adaptive black is on, the noise comes and goes depending of the darknes of the picture, with AB off, the humming is constant, with AB off and contrast turned up, the noise is almost gone, but then the image is to bright :(

Thanks

Weebyx
