Had a test drive today on the new A4 audi 2.0 TDI SE awesome. bno Sound system sound very much like bl8000 which i like. sound system integrates very well with the mmi system.

My local bno dealer and audi dealer has a open promotion, if you are their bno customer and if you buy an a4 you can upgrade sound system for free and vice versa you get some sort of discount if you want to buy bno gear.

B&O Sound system in Audi A4/A5

The B&O Sound system in Audi A4 was compared with the audio systems in Mercedes C-class and BMW 3 series.

thanks-a8 and q7 b&O are different to a4 and a5. never had bose on my a4 so can't compare with the new b&o in a4. I suppose it is comparable (not necessary soundwise) as price is simliar. Will test drive and have a listen.

You have a good point though-better buy b&o gear for the home!

Isn't the B and O in the A4 like that in the A5, not the A8?....i.e. no rising acoustic lens speakers. I have heard the B and O in the A5 and yes it is worth the price, in my opinion. Here in the US the B and O in the A5 is about 1/10 the price of the system in the A8.

Hi Vince,

I guess you're talking about the Audi A4. I have heard the B&O sound system in an A8 and a Q7 both with the engine running and switched off. The ALTs in the front sound great, but less so when driving as the clarity of the sound is harder to notice. However, apart from this the sound is very warm and powerful. I am not sure whether the sound system is up to the same spec of the system I have heard in the A8 and Q7, but I personally would only spend the extra money if I was driving long distances regularly. Otherwise I would prefer spend the money on B&O for my home.
