The manual on site is only a very short one and it includes only very general things like connecting to a Beomaster etc. But nothing of the actual use of the thing. It's one of those narrow-sized "manuals".

Re: Using Beocord 3500

I see that you're a gold member.... Look up the user manual for the Beocord 4500, which is essentially the same as the 3500.

Cheers,

Ben.

Using Beocord 3500

Hi!I was lucky and get myself a nice Beocord 3500 cassette deck from eBay. The postages were huge as it came from UK to FIN but in total it was still less than 70 euros. It was described to non-working but from the description I understood it was only a matter of new belts required. Then, with (again) great help from Dillen-Martin I was able to get the new belt kit, replace them, and even solve another brake-related problem causing the tape jam and skip. Now the deck is working smoothly, I am just listening some tape with it! (And I already love the deck - I keep sliding the motorized lid open and close!)

Just few things. I have already figured out the meaning of the Step > and < Step function (how can I have ever used a cassette deck without them?!). But still I'd like to know how the Start Go -function works. Also, as I press REC it goes to standby-rec as should. When I press stop, it goes there again, and then if I press stop again the REC light blinks for a few seconds. Does this thing do automatic fade off or is it just the mark for the step function that takes the few seconds extra?

Any chance to get a copy of the user manual? Just out of curiosity, I'd love to know what this deck does automatically - it seems to be a clever little friend.... :)
