Go for it - I just got mine this spring. They are 2000 (sold them in 2001) and I paid 925,- € for them.

As said in previous inputs I like the sound - I do not think that you get much better overall speaker for this price.

My son (3 years) particularly fancies the display - he is continuously informing the rest of the family about the current volume setting and track number. Maybe B&O should have considered a clock in the display - would have been more useful

Hi all:

I know the easy answer is to check the going rate on Ebay. However, there are none on there at the moment. How much should I look to pay for a fair pair of Pentas. For example, maybe a few cosmetic scratches but not gouges or foam rot.

I am looking at getting a pair because they are pretty imposing, I like equipment that towers over people! However, quality wise how do they compare to more modern b&o speakers?
