&lt;p&gt;The speakers are active and the amplifiers are built in, and have switches in the connections bay to tell them whether they're left or right (the cables will carry signals for both left and right speakers), so make sure you don't get them muddled up.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item><item><title>BeoSound 9000</title><link>https://archivedforum.beoworld.org:443/forums/thread/120793.aspx</link><pubDate>Tue, 03 Jun 2008 12:35:19 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">41a2a90c-3a1e-4bd3-b144-3883695a7f38:120793</guid><dc:creator>johnny33156</dc:creator><slash:comments>0</slash:comments><comments>https://archivedforum.beoworld.org:443/forums/thread/120793.aspx</comments><wfw:commentRss>https://archivedforum.beoworld.org:443/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=13&amp;PostID=120793</wfw:commentRss><description>&lt;p&gt;I am a satellite TV tech in the Miami Fl area.&amp;nbsp; I recently installed a satellite system for some people that wanted French TV channels.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They asked me to take a look at their Beosound 9000 stereo system.&amp;nbsp; They had four Beo 4 speakers connected to the system.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The front speakers did not have any sound at all but the light was on both of them indicating power.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The rear speakers sounded like they were blown but I could see no visable damage when I took the grill off.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;m not familar with this system and was wondering if anyone could help me with getting the front speakers working.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also can I connect the wires going to the rear speakers to a different speaker for a test ?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Are these 4-0hm speakers or 8-Ohm speakers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks for any help.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
