In fact, even the ever entertaining Whats HiFi? gave them the top possible rating...

I had noticed - unfortunately I feel no need to read a review of the BeoLab 4s - I already own a pair courtesy of BeoWorld

BeoLab 9s though - speakers I drool over every time I hear them.

I'll look forward to reading it. I'll admit to it having been quite some time since I last bought a hifi mag for good reasons, I feel that generally, hifi mags are more interested in iPods and iPod speakers than in proper hifi, although HiFi World has always stayed 'true' to their name. The last one I bought was the BeoLab 9 issue!

Went to Struer last week!

As in the title, when an invitation from B&O UK arrived to go and see the factory, meet the key people and have a tour of the newly opened museum, I didn't even have to stop and think.

And it was just as fabulous as I suspected it would be. The factory is spotless - you could eat your dinner off the floor of the aluminium processing building, and what they do to the equipment in the torture chamber was quite eye-opening. As for the Cube - I wasn't expecting it to be directly beyond the door and had a flush of vertigo as I walked through onto the balcony...

The whole place is endowed with a fantastic atmosphere and everyone I met had copious enthusiasm and passion for what they do. Needless to say, the museum was amazing and a personal tour around all the exhibits by Ronny was the icing on the cake. He had a story for each item, then at the end asked me if i wanted to go round again, as he could tell a different story about each one! I gathered that around 300 of the 3000 or so exhibits he has gathered are on display and they will be rotated every six to nine months - no problem, I'll just have to go back again!

Finally, an apologies, mods, for the blatant plug, but I will be writing a report on the trip in an upcoming issue of Hi-Fi World magazine - I'll report back when i know which issue it'll be in.
