Occasionally it will work fine and then other times the speaker will be crackly or not working. Its definitely the socket at the rear of the 9000 - a common problem or any easy DIY fix? Or - now that the CD spring has packed up - is it time for the 9000 to go in a spares or repair ad on Ebay!! Really dont want to get rid of it to be honest!! May just leave it on the shelf to look pretty!!<div style="clear:both;"></div>
