that's wierd, I've got a Beosound4 with 1 pair of BL5000 and 3 pairs of BL4500 connected to it and all displays are working fine............

And I recently had BS4 in sales stock and connected to my BL5000's the displays worked fine!

that's wierd, I've got a Beosound4 with 1 pair of BL5000 and 3 pairs of BL4500 connected to it and all displays are working fine............

But if connected directly to Beoport you won't get any display - my 4500s display fine connected to the BS3200 but nothing when connected to beoport - which is where I use them .

N.MUSIC will show as "A.TP 2", and N.RADIO as "PHONO", but that is only relevant if you use a BeoPort.

I had mine connected to my BeoVision 5 for some time - sound great and displays are fully functional! So even if you route them through the TV to do surround - they are a great choice!

Yes, display shows that information with all above mentioned Beocenters / Beosounds.
Peter already mentioned that you will need the fully wired Powerlink-cables.

doas it show the surce and the volume if is conected with beosound 2300,2500,3000 or beosound 4

They will work perfectly - you do need fully wired Powerlink cables though.

Beolab 5000s will work with all modern systems moreso any system which has powerlink.

I use mine in a link setup via a BS9000 if that helps and still has use of its display etc.

doas somebody know the compatibility with BeoLab 5000 Active Loudspeakers to some new B&O product(beosound 2300,2500,3000,3200,or beosound 4or some beosistem) and if the display showing which source was playing and at what volume?

BeoLab speakers were designed to match Beosystem 6500, 4500, 3500 and Beocenter 9500 and 8500.
