I'd recommend the 7-40 wall bracket if your wall can take it! Excellent piece of engineering and very very cool when it's working. You can mount the 7-4 to the wall bracket too, and the BV7 display will angle vertically independently to the 7-4 which is on a fixed plane. They both turn left/right with each other though, and fully motorised!

Sonically, when using other BeoLabs in the setup, especially BeoLab 3s, 9s or 5s, the 7-4 will give very noticeable sound improvements!

Re: Beolab 7.2 / Beolab 7.4

my 7.4 is the normal silver colour and the stand is also silver

Re: Beolab 7.2 / Beolab 7.4

hi there

thanks for your input and i do havea surround set up, i just wonder if i wanted to put the tv on the wall or on a ssmall stand as i have really gone off the tall motorised stand as all you can see it wires even with the sock.

does anyone have pictures of the tv on a small stand or wall with a 7.4 where can the 7.4 go as it will just look sillt on the wall i think????

Help

Re: Beolab 7.2 / Beolab 7.4

Seanie,

Hopefully I can answer your questions. The biggest difference between the 7-4 and the 7-2 when not trying to over-complicate, really comes into play with how you use your TV. If you are putting the display on a surround sound set-up, then we would recommend a 7-4 as it is optimised both with cabinet and acoustics to perform for voice prodomently (what most people end up lacking a bit when used lets just say with a pair of BeoLab 4000's). The 7-4 is not limited to voice and is a great performer in both surround or by itself, but I have found if you are NOT going to put the BeoVision 7 in a surround sound set-up, in most cases you will benefit with a 7-2 more. The 7-2 will give you a true stereo left and right, where as the 7-4 is more mono (remember for voice). I think the performance of the 7-4 sounds so good because of the ALT lens which projects the highs more uniform and even in the room, similar to the BL9 or BL5. But in a stand alone set-up or even in a 3 channel mode you will receive better performance with a 7-2, unless your left and right are BL9 or BL5.....I know so many twists and turns:) The stand is the same stand, however if you choose to go with a different speaker option you will have to purchase the holder for that particular speaker. If I remember correctly the BL 7-2 is a recessed flat type holder, where the BL 7-4 is lip hold type. You should be able to use the same power link jump cable and power supply though:)

Re: Beolab 7.2 / Beolab 7.4

Hi there,

It sure is easier fitting the 7.2 if you decide to put the BeoVision 7 on a table..:)

The 7.2 fits on the same stand but you need a different bracket to mount the speaker on. When you go to the dealer make sure to tell him whether it is a BeoVision 7 - 32 or BeoVision 7 - 40 you have. The brackets are different..

I would personally always go with 7.4 when having other speakers connected to the tv. If no others speakers are connected 7.4 will not sound very good, since it is a mono speaker.

The 7.2 is a stereo speaker and plays awesome. Especially when no other speakers are connected. What colour is your 7-4?

BMGHB

Beolab 7.2 / Beolab 7.4

Hi there

What are the differences i have beovision 7 with Beolab 7.4 underneath but im not sure i am so happy i think beolab 7.2 will look so much better expecially when i go for wall mounting or table mounting.

Does the 7.2 fit on the same stand (floor motorised one).

What one is better and finally does anyone wanna swap.

Seanie
