It is a standalone item and can be used alongside a whole housefull of Kikinoko &amp;#39;phones. And indeed I saw the LINE wire&amp;nbsp;from the&amp;nbsp;bt1200 only had 2 wires inside it. Ahah I thought....so I changed to another with a full compliment of wires but it makes no difference at all.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I presume I&amp;#39;m looking for a little telephone icon on the bt1200 display when I&amp;#39;m on a call, but nothing, and it doesn&amp;#39;t answer a call.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve tried all combinations I can think of, with the BT1200 LINE wire going through the adsl filter, bypassing it, in line with the base, split from the base with a splitter etc etc, but no, not a sausage.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What am I doing wrong!?!?
