My favourites:

60's: Beovox 2500 cubes and Rondstraler speaker.
70's: Beolit 600/700. I just love that tuning slider. The Beogram 4000 is another one of my favourites from that era.
80's: Beocenter 9000. The first B&O machine I saw. I couldn't afford it at that time, but years later I bought a Beocenter 9300.
90's: Beosystem 7000. I love the clean look of the separate components. Beolink 7000 is gorgeous too.
00's: Beolab 5. The are visually very present and need a bit of space, but I like them. And then there's the sound....

how can i top that list? i'd say ditto... but not to be boring, i will make mine second picks... :-)

p.s. honorary mention to s45 for best all-time quality/performance/value.

I can only speak of my first love - my introduction to B&O was a BS 2300 (brother-in-laws) but when I saw the 5000 system I knew I had to sacrifice everything (she wanted at the time) to own it. I still have it and could never leave it. Some say it's just a "posh" stacking system, as was the trend at the time, and maybe beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I remember being captivated at the storefront, a feeling that has never left me. A shame it missed, by one iteration, the modern codes etc. but I paid for it when it was way beyond my means. A BS5500 might make more sense today but that would mean disgarding my first love - it's not going to happen!

I might be a little to young a to new to the brand to take part in this thread, but here is my choice:

80s - BeoSystem 6500 (I think this is the one Andy won!?)

90s - BeoSound 9000 with BeoLab 8000, what else?

00s - BeoCenter 2, because it is different

60s - BeoMaster 900 - what a funky little amp!

70s - BeoMaster 4400 - (maybe because I own one?)

80s - Difficult to say, most probably the BeoSystem 4500.

90s - Certainly the BeoSound 9000!

00s - BeoLab 5s, without even thinking, and IMO to this date, B&O's greatest product...

from start to 50s - I have no idea and I'm ashamed of it!

60s - Beomaster 900K

70s - Beogram 400x/6000

80s - Beo* Penta

90s - most of my favourites originated in the 80s - but maybe Beocenter 9500 or the entire Beosystem 6500?

00s - I don't even know what new there is?

Being very new to owning B&O equipement, although an admirer for over 20 years, I've spent this last couple of months looking at both this and Beocentral studying early audio "kit".

It's kinda got me wandering what's everybody's favourite piece of audio equipement by decade.

The choice is clearly massive, but if you could pick one piece through the decades, what would it be?

Single compoments or complete systems, but just one per decade..........................

I haven't worked mine out, as I haven't got past the 80's although it looks a little like this...............

70's - Beomaster 1200

80's - BeoSystem 4500

90's -

2000 -
