Hi,

this could be a problem with an old capacitor.

Some older CD's could be repair.

Fear not Dougie, there are wizards and alchemists here that can solve your problem - not least Dillen. I'm sure he will visit this post eventually but if you're impatient you can PM him.

Not sure of any really handy folks in the NE, dealers may tend to tell you it's old and the laser is knackered etc but folk here can resurrect far lesser CD players from the ashes
