I have years of experience with Windows PCs and would allways install software and drivers before plugging any new USB device. However, having only few experience with OS X, I followed the instructions of BM Link, which explicitely required to connect the box (and any peripheral to the box) before installing the software.

But anyway, I also removed the software and re-installed it prior to the PC2 with no success. And the box did not work also on my Windows system where it worked a couple of weeks ago and I have made now changes.

francis

Re: Beolink PC2 not recognized by my computer

Hi Francis. I'm not a computer buff either but maybe this might help.

Did you install the software from the disc Before plugging in the usb?

Andy T.

Beolink PC2 not recognized by my computer

I' have got a used PC2 which I used for some time with my windows pc.

Having not used it for some weeks, I yesterday connected it for the first time to my mac mini and tried to run it with the new 1.5 version of BM Link. BM Link installed and runs without any problem. However, the box is not recognized bei my mac. I double checked the USB port and cable as well as the power cable and found everything ok. Finally I connected it again to the windows pc and it did not work either. I opened the box to check if there is a blown fuse but there is no fuse at all. On this occasion I could visually check the circuits and found no hint for a malfunction.

Having no experience in electronics, is there anything I could do before I will have it to bring to my local B&O dealer?

francis
