My recommendation is certainly BeoCom 6000 if you are thinking about using more than one handset. These function from a single transmitter and is not part of the pyramid shaped chargers for the phones. This means you can place the chargers wherever you like as long as there is mains. With BeoCom 4, the charger needs mains and a telephone socket, This might effect the ideal spot to place your phone and charger.

They are more comfortable and easier to navigate than the pretty BeoCom 2s. However, you could have a BeoCom 6000 and a BeoCom 2. BeoCom 6000 used more for work / regular calls and BeoCom 2 as a secondary handset perhaps in a bedroom or living room.

Can you connect (and use) Beocom 6000 handsets and Beocom1 handsets to the same Beoline base station? I have 4 old Beocom 6000 handsets in the house and just started to upgrade the system to Beocom 1.

In europe most people prefer the bc6000 over the bc2, I for one am not one of them; I used both and prefer the bc2 by far, but it will need a bit of getting used to, that's all. the look is great, it's certainly not made just to be different, it's very handy in use because of it's size [from mouth to ear without moving the phone or talking loud[er], just try it !! and the sound of it is very, very good ; as is it's ringtone.............

The Beocom 2 is not as impractical as it seems. Once you get use to holding the phone lower than normal the design purpose makes sense. The sound quality is very good. When not in use, it looks like a modern sculpture.

Interesting. What kind of "issues"...? Could you expand please?

Are these issues confined to the US market or do they apply to UK models too?

Any UK users have any problems with the BC6000?

Dario, noted on the beocom 2, and I'm sure after a while I'd get used to the function. However, I still don't like the form. For me, it's over- stylised. Almost design for the sake of being different. Does nothing for me I'm afraid. And nor does the price.

I have just purchased a beotalk 1200 from fleebay. I wish to now purchase 2 cordless handsets to use with it.

Am I right in thinking that the beocom 4 is a stand alone product, i.e. 1 handset system only? If so, I' guess I'll be looking at a pair of beocom 6000's (don't like the look of the beocom 2, maybe I'm wrong but the shape doesn't look particularly user friendly / comfortable).
