Do you know what is the name of the cable is I need? (Power link or data link - 5 / 7 pin??)

no, just a miss spent youth and big vias debts - yep my fault

so i manage without visa cards believe it or not

without tempting fate Paypal has worked just fine for me on hundreds of purchaces, so excuse my ignorance

I'm sure her who must be obeyed will make the purchase with her card

What do you mean "not pro visa card"? You mean you don't like visa cards? Paypal is by far the most horrendous of all forms of payment. If they were a real federally chartered bank they'd be shut down in no time for the stuff they try to pull.

I tried upgrading to silver/gold membership but I'm not pro visa card

Much rather pay using say Paypal or something similar - but hey you can't have everything.

I was only joking with you Steve, not trying to hard sell. And yes the beolab 4500's are beautiful. If you join as a silver or gold member you can see in the private sales section here one member has a pair of beolab 3000 speakers for sale, and another member was asking how much his beolab 4500 speakers were worth as he's considering selling them. And yes, the pentas are great. I have a pair along with my own 4500 system.

Hi....

I'll keep a sneaky eye on the auction.......

I'm really very new to the B&O vibe... i just know when i was a kid in the late 70's early 80's the guy next door had a B&O system and it blew me away........

Only very recently at the grand old age of 42 I stumbled across an Ebay link to a Beocenter 9000 for 200GBP ..... fews days later i won the auction...... that was 6 weeks ago....... now I own a Beocener 9000.... A Beosystem 5500 ..... 2 Beogram decks ... 2 sets of RL Redline speakers .... and prize of all, a mint set of Penta 2's.

Needless to say the wife's not too impressed.

Sorry for the life storey.... back to the 4500 .... i don't care too much for all the new stuff, so have considered whats my next trophy..... it has to be the 4500 but above all my absolute passion is for a pair of Beolab 4500 or 5000 ... but wow have you seen how much they go for????

You never no, that 4500 may be winging it's way tooooooooo meeeeeeee

I've been offered a 5500 system but the guy doesn't include the cd player

Hey Steve,

As Peter was saying, the separate components, such as the CD player, tape player, and turntable, will each have an attached cord that then plugs into the 5500 receiver. You shouldn't need any additional cords, except for connecting the speakers.

I thought most had captive cables - the record player and Tape certainly do. The CD on mine has a captive cable as well .

7 pin DIN if needed is what you will want.

What connecting cables would I need to link the 5500

I've a chance to buy a 5500 seperate system without connecting cables.

So how do I connect the amp, deck, cd,tape?
