If andy's suggestion doesn't work there are guys here who are almost psychic and can diagnose your problem. The good news is that it isn't really broken as it does play some CD's correctly - it just needs a little TLC.

Welcome to Beoworld btw, I hope you enjoy your time here

Re: Beosystem 7000 Beogram CD 7000

Hi Mitchell and a hearty welcome to Beoworld
If your CDs are not copies, then I think it may be that the laser needs cleaning.
A cotton bud dipped in isopropanol worked for me.
Great system, by the way.

Andy T.

Beosystem 7000 Beogram CD 7000

Hello everyone. I am new to BeoWorld and need your expert advice. I have been a big fan of B & O for over 20 yrs and acquired many of their equipments over the years. Recently, I purchased used Beosystem 7000 for nostalgic reasons. Beomanster 7000 and Beocord 7000 works fine. However, Beogram CD 7000 plays some cds and not others. I selected about 50 original cds and it's able to play about 8. The strange thing is that track light comes on with numbers 1 -14+ and then goes to standby mode for cds which don't play. For some cds which don't play initially, if I played cds that works, then immediately switch, it works sometimes. Most cds, no matter what I try, it doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mitchell
