I'll be interested if some else notices this. In the meantime, I've reported it to my dealer how has passed it on to customer services. I know I'll get a quicker reply from Beoworlders, however.

Brian

Re: Beoport, big problems

Not come across this so I think it sounds like a problem between Vista and the Beoport software. Not a huge surprise. Worth posting on the official forum as it may encourage B&O to look at it.

Re: Beoport, big problems

Also, if you close the beoport program down, then reopen, the same error message comes back. So as long as I am prepared to reinstall every time I boot up then I'm OK.

Brian

Beoport, big problems

I've been enjoying Beoport with my new computer for several months now, no problem (Vista 32 bit).

Now, when I restart the computer the program will not open, there is an error message within Beoipcml, stating 'unable to open mixer no 5'.

It does open beoplayer, but I can't access nmusic or netradio around the house. I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling, and it did work, but the next time I restarted the computer the previous error message came back.

Any hints? Is this a Vista problem, I have it set to automatic updates.

Brian
