You need to change this to 4.3 output as this would give the symptoms you describe

Problems using Panasonic Hard Drive/DVD with B&O LX2502

Hi folks,

I bought my parents a Pansonic DMREX77 hard disc/dvd recorder for Christmas, but it didn't work properly with their LX2502. It would play DVDs OK, but when I accessed the hard drive menu system, it wouldn't even give a steady image on the screen, and the menus constantly drifted cross the screen.

I decided in the end that there must be a fault with the Panasonic, as everything else they've plugged into the B&O via the SCART socket has worked fine. (Panasonic VHS recorder, DVD player also Panasonic, and a Freeview box that can't remember the manufacturer of). Send the Panasonic back and got a replacement, but they're now having trouble getting this one to work too.

Does anyone have any experience of similar problems? Is there some incompatibility - from other posts it doesn't sound like it as there seem to be plenty of folks using Panasonic gear with B&O TVs. Any advice would be very much appreciated, as it's pretty disappointing to still be having problems 4 months after it was first bought. Thanks.
