I would consider some Redline speakers - quite efficient and have similar modern design rather than just a square box.

Thanks for all your help - I would quite like to purchase some second-hand beovox speakers to use with it rather than other speakers. Would you have any recommendations...?

Be aware that the Maplin part as above is for one cable only and you will require 2

The two 8 ohm speaker sockets on the back use standard speaker plugs like the ones HERE

Electrically, the speakers connected to these sockets put the external speakers in parallel with the internal speakers.

You need 2 pin DIN plugs. The cables complete are available from B&O dealers or plugs to wire up yourself are available from Maplins in the UK.

Hi, I've just added an MX6000 to my B&O collection. I've noticed on the rear of the TV there are external speaker connections for L+R 8ohm speakers (?). I don't understand how to connect speakers to these terminals - I have no manual - and I don't recognise the speaker wire connection 'fitting'

Do I need a specific speaker fitting to be able to plug speakers into the two rear connections or do I need specific types of speaker?
