Having read the V8000 manual I thought that extra channels could be programmed into it that did not necessarily exist on the TV. Apparently not.

Thanks for the tip. I will investigate (with my fingers crossed).

Re: V8000 VCR tuning

Your V8000 get its presets from MX7000, when you go in the tuning menu you can only fine tune. But instead connect your ps2 to the camcorder input and then chose camcorder in v.tape menu.

V8000 VCR tuning

I'm trying to set up a new channel on my V8000 VCR but cannot get to the correct menu. When I select VTAPE Menu > SETUP > TUNING I get no menu, but instead am returned to the broadcast TV picture. It's very frustrating. Very occasionally (1 in 10 attempts or so) I get a glimpse of the tuning menu, but only for a split second before the TV picture takes over the screen.

I would like to define a new channel on the VCR only so I can configure it to use the decoder port of the V8000 (and hopefully get a Playstation 2 signal).

All other channels are correctly copied across from my Beovision MX7000 (connected via AV1). Alas I seem not to be able to define a new channel on the VCR alone.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
