with 128Mb SD cards battery life is around 8 hrs, but with 2GB SD cards, battery life is clearly less: around 1 hr shorter.

Cost me £40 on my last one, make sure they can do a good job though as the dealer i went to prised mine open with what must have been a knife and scored it around the centre plastic seal.

Hi doomlordis,

Glad to hear you bought back a BeoSound 2 and at a very good price too!

I've been meaning to replace the battery on my BeoSound 2 as it's going through the battery at about the same rate as yours. I'll ask my dealer how much this will cost on the weekend, but from what I remember hearing it isn't unreasonable.

Around the same i expect , bought it yesterday - £55 - bargain!

I bought one a few years ago and have missed it a lot since i sold it. I think i will get a beosound century / 2000 next.

I have not been counting the exact hours, but I think it is the same as mine.

Mine is about 5 years old, and I think a new battery would be an improvement. How old is yours?

I get around 5.5hrs - 6hrs before the beeps start then around another 1.5 hrs before dead , so around 7.5hrs, i listen to mp3s at 192 - 256 kbps on average.
