But the Beolink converter has an auto-configuration, it detects the device to be connected.

I would try. The dealers say it won`t work when B&O don`t say it will work - just my experience. So there are a lot of things that work, which the dealers (and B&O) don`t know about. Don`t forget to turn your BV3 into slave-option, option 5 or 6.

Stefan

Re: Masterlink-Datalink-Masterlink

Hi Stefan,

are you sure that this works? It was also my first idea, but I was told by my dealer that the Beolink converter works only oneway. So maybe I have to try if it works.

Claus

Re: Masterlink-Datalink-Masterlink

Hi,

the only way I see is to use 2 Beolink converters. Masterlink in the mainroom -> Beolink Video-> Datalink -> linkroom Beolink converter-> Masterlink -> BV3. Coax connected as usual.

BTW: Welcome to Beoworld.

Stefan

Masterlink-Datalink-Masterlink

I upgraded my BV 3-32 to a BV 4-50 + BeoLab10. Now, I'm having a problem with my old Datalink cable.

My BV 3-32 was linked through a BeoLink Video Converter and Datalink cable and a coax cable to a MX 5500.
Now, I want to link the BV 4-50 with the BV3-32. I know that this usually is done by the Masterlink cable.
Unfortunally, I can't replace the old Datalink cable with a Masterlink cable so I have to stay with the Datalink + coax cable.

Now the question: Is there any possibility to link the BV 4-50 with the BV 3-32 through a datalink cable (7 pins) and a coax cable, like it worked perfectly before ???
