I've taken the amp off the speaker but the problem persists, so a visit to a repairer is in order.

I live in the North West (UK) can you recommend someone.

Sounds like a fault with the amp to me.

I would advise taking the speaker to a B&O engineer for testing. If you are in the UK i can recommend one.

Can anyone possibly help?

I've recently aquired a fantastic pair of Penta 2 speakers, but unfortunately there appears to be an issue with one of them.

When the passive amp is set to the off position but is swithched on at the wall socket, the light on the amp is red.

However when I switch it on, for a split second the light turns green and music can be heard BUT the speaker makes a "popping noise" and the amp light goes to an amber colour and no sound is present.

Clearly there's an issue - has anyone come across this problem or can anyone offer advice?
