Not turned it on yet as going to let the tube settle back in its upright position but one very happy Avant owner as it was mint. The chap I bought it off was a B&O engineer and a nice chap. Had a listen to his BeoLab 5000s - AWESOME sound, didn't realise they were so big!! Lovely looking piece of kit, always hankered after the 3000/4500/5000s.... maybe one day.

Can't wait to play with the TV - feel like a little kid waiting for the school bell so i can run home!!!

Re: Transporting an Avant

So what is TOG rating on a Duvet?
Transport Our Gear, eh?

Sorry, it's late.

Re: Transporting an Avant

When judging bedding in a shop, what do I look for? Is it the warmth? Its only a VCR 2001 model but looks lovely. Thing is I will be picking it up form London (i'm in Brum) so it will be going face down in my girlfriends Punto. I've got 2 thick duvets at the ready and lots of bubble wrap - will transporting it face down be ok? I'll let it stand overnight prior to switching on to do my best to look after the tube! How i'm going to get the thing in the hatchback without scraping the front will be another story - wish me luck!!
