The A4/A5 B&O system is of the same quality as the DSP+ system in my 2006 A6. All those systems are however no match to the Advanced B&O system available in the Q7 and A8. That sound is superior to any other car sound system I heard before, better than Mark Levinson in Lexus or Harmann Kardon in several others makes. Don't make the mistake to take Bose in account with its shrieking high tones and thundering lows.

Recent test in Auto, Motor & Sport (German car magazine) showed similar result,
a vast improvement to the Bose systems.

Cars / audio systems tested :

- Audi A4 (new model) / B&O Sound system / € 895,- /
Head-unit : Radio Concert € 350,-

- BMW 3 series / Hifi system Logic 7 (Harman Kardon) / € 1180,- /
Head-unit BMW radio Professional € 210,-

- Mercedes C-class / Surround sounds system Logic 7 (Harman Kardon) / € 833,- /
Head-unit Audio 20 CD € 357,- (surround sound only with Audio 50 APS € 1499,-)

All 3 tested systems were "recommended", the B&O system was even slightly better.
Even at very high volume the sound of the B&O system remained very clear with strong, punchy bass.

My wife and I test drove a new Audi A5 with the B and O sound system yesterday. Comparing it to the Bose in my 2007 Audi, the B an O certainly sounded better to both of us, a much fuller more detailed sound. Now there is another B and O toy I need to save my money for.
