Gordon,

did you map the incoming Beo commands to the 3rd party commands? You have to set up the memory map, so that the Lintronic box is able to send commands. The Lintronic box must be able to "see" the 3rd party device.

Hi Stefan & other experts,

4-5 months ago I tested Stefans setup but never finalized the 'project'.. And today was supposed to be the day.. However, I have a strange problem when using the scart metod:

TT-238 is listening to scart PIN8 - The lintronic software (configurator ver. 001.004.008) is receiving BEO4 remote commands (also from link rooms), but the TT238 is not transmitting anything.. strange..

Any suggestions before I tear off my hair?

Is it possible to connect the data from ML connector (Pin1 and 2) into the Lintronic? Yes it's a balanced signal but with a little electronics (Op amp) it's possible to unbalanced the signal?

Yes, should also work with an Avant. But as said in my previous post, the SCART socket will only send commands in the mode it is assigned to, for example, if you assign your SCART socket to V.AUX, the .238 box will only receive commands in V,AUX mode. More info:

To improve the reception of IR signals use a Beolink eye, as Søren recommended.

BV7 is a video product and can only transmit video commands on SCART sockets. If you assign for example a socket to V.MEM it will only transmit commands in V.MEM mode when connected to this socket. Audio commands are possible when connected to an audiomaster via datalink. I tested this using a Beomaster 4500. You will find more info here: http://www.lintronic.dk/NewsLetter-2008-2.pdf

I use A Beolink IR receiver from a Beolink passive for my lintronic box because I was not happy with the internal receiver. now it works just as good as my other B&O products.

Connect your 238 box on the harddiscrecorder side, 10 m is a long way, but I think it works. If so, you don`t an Infrared Emitter at all. They are built into the box. Good luck.

Fantastic Stefan!

I'll give it a try... Do you know if I can take the signal at the end where I have the harddiscrecorder (10 meter from my 7-40), because I would like to have my Lintronic 238 at the same place as my other stuff it's going to control. Then I don't have to make my TT-IR-ET03 Infrared Emitter longer.

Hi Frank,

the IR input on the Lintronic box is a 3,5 mm jack connector at the back of the box called Input, ext. data input, infrared, RF,etc.

You need a 3,5 mm stereo jack, but you only need 2 pins: B= IR signal, C= Ground.

You connect IR signal to pin8 and ground to pin21 (SCART). That`s it.

Could you make a schematic drawing of the connections? How do you connect from the scart to the Lintronic box (what is the IR data input on the Lintronic box) ?
