Did you get the displays working using the speakerlink cables?

I have a Beocenter 9000 and some Beolab 5000's and I can not see to get the displays working.

Connect the Beolab 5000 with Speakerlink-cable to Speakers1 op Beocenter 9000.

Set switches on Beolab :

Set the INPUT LEVEL switch to position =.
Set the AUDIO/VIDEO/OFF switch to position AUDIO.
Set the MODE switch to position A.

Limited read-out on the Beolab; no indication of track, mute, sound and of video sources.

These cables are still available from B&O dealers. Using this configuration the displays on the beolabs will work.

Alternatively you can run rca cables from the pre amp out sockets on the beocenter to the line in sockets on the beolabs. Sound will be ok but the displays will not function.

I would use speakerlink.

Beolab 4500 Compatability - Beocenter 9000

Excuse my ignorance........

Could anyone possibly let me know if the Beolab 4500 speakers can be connected to the Beocenter 9000.

If it is possible could anyone descibe the configuration i.e. are the speakers 2pin din connection - where or how does the active amp from the speaker connect?

Regards,

Steve
