We had ours connected to an Avant and Beosound 3000 along with a 12 inch Velodyne sub and the sound was wonderful.

The sound is, in my opinion, a very detailed sound. In some ways I notice the detail and clarity even more now that we are using the 1s as rear speakers in a surround sound setup. We hear sounds from the rear we never heard from the 6000s we previously had in the rear.

Re: BeoLab 8000 to Beolab1

I concur with the others. The BeoLab 1 is a supeb loudspeakers, consideably better than the BL8000. Personally, I love its appearance. Any color will do for me.

Enjoy!

If you can afford the BL2, all the better!!

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Re: BeoLab 8000 to Beolab1

I'd say go for it as well, although you'll probably find yourself wanting a BeoLab 2 to go with them, they don't produce as much bass as you'd expect...

Re: BeoLab 8000 to Beolab1

Hi,

This topic has been debated several times on beoworld and can spark a lot of different opinions.

I think the BL1 is far superior to the BL8000 sound-wise. The only drawback of the BL1 is that you might expect a better performance in the low end, but this is not perfect (but much better compared to the BL8000). Adding a BL2 solves this and makes a lovely setup.

Design and color is very personal; I like the black version, when I bought my BL1 the only options I considered were silver and black, which I think are both very nice looking.

Go for it, you wont regret it!

Bieele

BeoLab 8000 to Beolab1

hi,

I am about to up-grade my speakers: I would buy tomorrow a pair of Beolab 1 speakers (black with black frets) that will replace my Beolab8000(Alu version). I would like to know if this is a good ideea(Lab 8000 replaced by Lab1)?
