I moved all my B&O in my signature the same time in my SAAB 900. The LX still on its motorized stand. I drove very carefully.

Are you certain that your car is too small?

A friend of mine and I moved both a 32" Avant and a MX7000 with motorstand in the same Toyota Auris. The seller couldn't believe his own eyes.

Hi:

I have moved my 28" Avant twice and I hope it breaks before I have to move it again as I can get a newer one. I absolutely love that TV. However, it is a dead weight and really ungainly. If you are moving house, a Luton with a tail lift would be over kill but so much easier.Even with two people you risk crippling yourself.

I moved mine with the help of my South African friend and he is an Afrikaner in the truest sense of the word - near enough 7ft tall and very heavy. Yet we still struggled!

Original packing for my BV3-32 when we moved was £35. Well worth it IMO.

You can still get the original shipping crates from B&O. My second hand Avant RF came from a dealer, and they ordered the original packaging for me. When I say crate, I mean crate. You get a half pallet, a ton of polystyrene packaging, and a couple of trees worth of cardboard. Well worth it if if you might be thinking about using a courier. I considered renting a van like Andy, but once I'd factored in the rental fee, my time, and Diesel from Leeds to Cambridge and back, £100 all in for the crate and courier seemed a better deal.

Not really - you have to protect the rear of the tube and the frame doesn't really come apart. I would hire a panel van and get some friends to lend a hand! Secure it well though or get the packaging from a dealer.

This has been discussed before, and I think the general opinion is to keep it right way up. I rented a transit to collect my 32" Avant, but you will definately need an assistant!
Haven't heard of anybody dismantling one to move it.

I have to move my TV, it is too big for my car as well as bein g heavy to handle.

How can I make this easier?

Is there a way to partially dismantle without causing any damage, and then reassemble, without experiencing any problems?
