However, I think the earlier tangential turntables can be bargains, as phono pre-amp kits can be added to easily connect them to modern B&O systems.

I still love my old Beogram 3000 (no built-in pre-amp) and this cost a fraction of what I could have paid for a Beogram 4500 (with pre-amp) in similar condition. Once I'd sorted out a pre-amp kit, I was so impressed with the sound that I've added the kits to my eBay shop as a stock item.

Yes, the BG3500 will interface directly with an Ouverture.

All the Beograms with built in RIAA preamps are sought after because they are compatible with most of the modern B&O units such as Ouverture and all of it's derivatives, Beosound 9000, Beosound 4 (with adapter) and Beocenter 9300

Short question: does the Beogram 3500 fit directly to a BeoSound Overture? Do I need to buy sth else in order to make the equipment work together?

Why is the Beogram 3500 so sought after? (as Graham said)

I do have a pair of Beovox 4500 with grey frets. Some marks on the stainless panels. You need to see them. Where are you?

You are missing something!!

The beogram 3500 is equipped with on board RIAA pre amp and the phono input is similarly equipped. Thus you are supplying an amplified signal to an input that does not require it.

You can either use the AUX port as you have already determined or sell the Beogram 3500( they are much sought after!) and buy one of the others which does not have RIAA pre amp.

Could anyone possibly help?

When i attempt to connect the Beogram 3500 deck to the Beocenter phono output the signal/sound is terrible. However when i connect through the AUX on the the Beocenter the signal/sound is fine.

I'm connecting using the factory fitted 7 pin din plug.

Could there be a problem with the Beocenters phono output or am I missing something.
