I can recommend the redline 60.2 and Mk iii Pentalabs with the 9500. I have used both (at the same time with the pentas power-linked) and still use the RL 60.2 with mine to this day. The RL60.2 do vary in terms of tone dependant on the way you place them but I think they are a perfect match.

Best Wishes

Re: Best speakers to use with a Beocenter 9500

The 5000s are fantastic looking speakers but are as rare as hens teeth. I'd settle for some Beovox 3000 or 5000s which are the passive versions if memory serves me correctly..... When they do surface for sale they aren't cheap either!! Lots of choices out there.....

Re: Best speakers to use with a Beocenter 9500

What about some Beolab 5000s? They match the looks of the 9500 really well IMO, and sound superb, whilst taking up little space (compared to pentas, at least!).

Re: Best speakers to use with a Beocenter 9500

If it was me, I would either find a cheap pair of Pentas (III) for the lounge and move BL6000 to the other room, or buy a pair of passive speakers. Do not underestimate the CX100 if you don't know them, however RedLines are good speakers also.

BL6000 and BL4000 are not very different. I think the 4000 has a more rounded sound with a little more bass, but the 6000 has the look.

Re: Best speakers to use with a Beocenter 9500

Its not my primary set up as i have a beosound 3000 with a pair of 6000s and an Avant as my lounge system but i've always wanted either 8000s or Penta Mk2/3's for the lounge just couldn't warrant £1000 for a pair.

Love the 4000s as they sound nice and warm and never heard any passive speakers and for the savings i'd make i'm sure the redlines would sound great... decisions decisions.....

Re: Best speakers to use with a Beocenter 9500

I would go with a pair of Beovox CX100 or BeoLab 4000. I'd like some resally nice looking ones as the room is small so no need for huge beasts. What is the best looking/performing speakers around - was thinking BeoLab 4000s or even the BeoLab 4's but they sound a bit 'plain' to me. Any good passive speakers of yesteryear worth noting as the in bulit amp should be sufficient for my small room.... PS What an awesome looking system the 9500 is - even now, love it!

Thanks in advance everyone - Dave.

PS Suggestions of other brands welcome
