Congratulations and have fun with your "new" system. As I mentioned before, if you want to control both systems with one remote, get your BS 7000 into A.OPT. 0 and connect an MCL 2A (in L.OPT. 4). Now you can control your BS 9000 with RADIO, CD, A.AUX and the BS 7000 with LINK-CD/RADIO/PHONO...

Gentleman, it is working!!!!! There is only one small detail. The right channel is coming through all four speakers, so I'll have to check the soledering again. But never mind, we have almost broken the challenge!!!!! I can now listen to the beautiful sound of the Beogram CD 7000, the Beogram 7000 and the Beocord 7000 through my system. THANK YOU all so much for all your help, you guys have all just been great!!!!! I'll let you know when I have tackeled the right channel only issue. It has been a privilege blogging with you!!!!!

The output from the taperecorder pin 3 & 5 goes to the input pin 3 & 5 on the amplifier.

and when recording output from the amplifier pin 1 & 4 goes to the input pin 1 & 4 on the taperecorder.

But you have 2 amplifiers that means that the output from the amplifier (BM7000) pin 1 & 4, goes to the input pin 3 & 5 on theother amplifier (BS9000).

Yes, of course, Søren is right! AUX-out of BM 7000 is pin 1-4 (L/R) and AUX-in BS 9000 is pin 3-5 (L/R). See http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/mclconn3.htm and http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/misc2.htm#Audio%20Aux%20Link%20/%20PowerLink%20connections:

You connected output to output, which can`t work.

I didn`t notice that, because I`m using DIN - RCA adapters on both systems with a RCA cable, that I soldered myself and just connected RCA-out to RCA-in. Tusind tak, Søren. This should solve the problem. You can solder this special cable as described above or use DIN-(4) RCA adapters with a normal RCA stereo cable - good luck.

Thanks Sören! I tried it and can make a recording. So that proves that when a tape deck is connected to TAPE2, there is an signal output. Still strange that when I connect TAPE2 with a 5DIN cable to the AUX of the BeoSound 9000, it does not work. Connecting the Beogram CD/Beocord or Beogram Record Player directly to the BeoSound 9000 AUX also works. Could the Beomaster 7000 shut down it's TAPE2 and TV/AUX socket when it detects that it does not get an signal in, which is the case when it is connected to the BeoSound 9000 AUX socket. The software of the Beomaster 7000 version is 1.0.

Try to connect your Beocord 7000 to the tape 2 socket, and then make a recording from radio or Cd, if that works there is audio out from tape 2.

Opened up the Beomaster 7000, but there is no problem with the TV/AUX and the TAPE2sockets. It remains a mystery! Hopefully somebody on the forum has some more suggestions.

Thank you Stefan. I have hooked everything up again like you said, and checked to see if all the option settings where the same as your instalation. I don't have the MCL 2A, but that shouldn't stop it from working. Still nothing hapens. The 5-DIN cable is new, that could mean that the left & right out of the TAPE2 en TV/AUX sockets are not working. I'll open it up and take a look inside. I have already discovered that when I put the DIN plug into the TV/AUX on the Beomaster 7000 just a little, the sound comes through the speakers connected to the Beovision 7-40. When I put it in fully, it stops again.
