Don'l know if anyone knows or has tried this, but if there is an input on the Avants Camcorder input will it be displayed in other link rooms if Camera or Camcorder are selected as the source - and everythign is linked etc.?

Good question! (and one i don't know the answer to either! Laughing)

Logic says yes, but can anyone shed any light on this?

    Re: Avant and Linking

I have an outside camera permanently plugged into my Avant.
Now I don't have a second TV linked but it is linked to my PC2 in the kitchen effectively making my computer a second TV.
I can watch TV, videos, Sky and have full control of my Sky+ box from the computer, but...
No matter what I try, I have never been able to get the picture from my camera onto my computerSad
I really wish I could, so I could have a minaturised picture of the front of my house up in the corner of the screen whilst I'm on Beoworld.

    Re: Avant and Linking

My outside camera is connected to my Avant (by scart) and I can view it upstairs too on my BeoVision 1. I'm sure the original questions set-up will work.

    Re: Avant and Linking

By Scart, it should be no problem. Unfortunately, I have no spare scart sockets available ( Sky, DVD recorder and inbuilt VCR)

    Re: Avant and Linking

I think the answer is no ,I tried a camcorder and a Sat decoder in the camcorder inputs but was unable to get it to work on my masterlink tv's. I tried  it a few ways but was unable to get it work.As regards c.c.t v  on link tv's and p.c there is an earlier thread in avant startup source  question on this topic

          Hope this helps

Yes, logic says it should work - I'm going to order the masterlink cable and then test it - otherwise looks as if the only way is through the second scart socket setup as decoder on TV and then pressing link tv in the linked rooms. Will let you know.

BTW - still the best TV I've ever owned and still very happy with it.
