    BL4000 floor stands

Did anyone else have to force the screws holding the wall bracket onto the stand?  All four of mine had to be forced.  At one point during the process I dropped the bracket.  Wheeee a big gouge in the base now.  ='(

Yes it is very ikea of B&O to leave this up to us, and yes i did the same thing and dropped the screws and left a mark on the base. I advise anyone else, to put the top together, with the stand LYING DOWN!

However, these a absolutely stunning stands and really make a massive difference to the 4000's aesthetics and simplicity. They are over priced for the materials but worth every cent with what they bring to the look of the speakers.

Same here, required a lot of force to get the screws in place :-( But fortunately I didn't drop anything on the base.

    Re: BL4000 floor stands

I had the same problems with the 4000 stands, but my quibble isn't with the tight fit at all. My quibble is with the utter difficulty in threading the wires through the stands, and then mounting them behind the metal bracket on the back of the speaker. B& O really must be thinking in the Zen Buddhist philosohpy of nothing gained without suffering, because I have to say, in the many B & O items I have purchased, the 4000 floorstand HAVE to be the most frustrating to set up.
