    Re: BeoSound 5

I know it´s a big teaser! Well at the general meeting today we were shown a little video starting up the meeting. It was a video from idea land explaining how new ideas / products are developed. In this video they talk about and actually show a future audio koncept. Later Torben Ballegaard show us a picture of BS 5 slightly hidden behind a piece of fabric, no doubt these products are the same. Because it´s not all that hidden! Well I don´t think it´s what you expect....

    A little more about BS5:

It is the half size of a BS9000, the overall look is quite black, it has the already "classic" B&O alu wheel to navigation control, and a full handle of digital music.

    Regards.

we must not forget that Lee is going to Berlin tomorrow, on invitation by B&O. I guess that this invitation could have something to do with the BS5...

Not quite sure Alex! Richard might be laughing due to the large price difference between the BS4 and BS5, but if not he's probably just got back from the pub Stick out tongue

    Re: BeoSound 5

I'm looking forward to this a lot, more than the TVs. BeoLab 5s have nothing else in the audio range to match their performance, hopefully this'll bring things up to speed...

I mean let's face it, for most of us this will be far to expensive. if it matches the BL5 in price, it would be a 20k$ device, Plus another 20k$ for the BL5 speaker. I am fine with a 10 or 15k for a stereo but going u to 40 is a very long way.

For the Berlin event, nobody says it but it can only be the upgraded BV7 with the BS3 in the back. There, I stated the obvious.

I saw the other two posts quoting you and thought I'd just join in. I found it funny that they found it funny. Big Smile

    Re: BeoSound 5

That's fine, and in that case, the BeoSound 9000 seems more appropriate. The fact of the matter is though, the BeoLab 5s are not exactly all that expensive when compared to other high-end systems! A complete Naim + B&W setup of 'comparable' performance to the BeoLab 5s would set you back over twice as much, and Naim make a CD player costing nearly twice as much as a pair of BeoLab 5s.
