    Beolink MX5000 to Beocenter 9000?

    Smile

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong and someone here will be able to set me straight!   I have just added a datalink cord from my North American MX5000 to my Beocenter 9000.  I have placed one end to the Aux/Line of the MX, and the other to the Aux of the Beocenter.

O.K....I programmed the tv for "picture 1 store" because the two components are close.

From the MX5000, through my beolink 1000, I press the AV+whatever I want to call up from the Beocenter 9000.  All is fine!

Now with everything off (stand by).  When I aim the Beolink 1000 to the Beocenter 9000 and press AV+TV...nothing.  So I try Link+TV.  Now the Tv's standby light turns off (with a click)...but no sound from Beocenter or tv.  If I press the standby on the Beolink 1000 and continue aiming it at the  Beocenter 9000, the TV does switch to standby.

I read the Beocenter 9000 manual (I have a European manual).  It tells me to press AUX+1 for TV, or AUX+5 for VCR.  I key this in directly to the Beocenter and voila, it works.   Now...I would like to be able to do this from the remote.  I cannot find AUX on the remote.  I'm sure that it must be an early version.  So...how can I do this with the remote?

    Any ideas?

    Guy

Re: Beolink MX5000 to Beocenter 9000?

    Hi Guy,

I've run your components through the Config software and it came up with Option 1.5 for both MX and BeoCenter.

    ************************* VIDEO SYSTEM SETUP **************************

    Beovision MX 5000

    Connection Video

Connect the aerial to the aerial input of the TV-set.

    Selecting option on the TV-set

    Option:  OPTION 1.5 (Factory setting)

    Press:   STANDBY  PICTURE 1 STORE
                      PICTURE 5 STORE

If option programming is made using Beolink 1000 MK3/MK4 or MK5 press
LINK before the sequence PICTURE x STORE

    ************************* AUDIO SYSTEM SETUP **************************

    Beocenter 9000
    Beovox passive

    Connection Audio

Connect the Beovox to the SPEAKERS 1 socket on the audio
    master using a loudspeaker cable.

Connect the aerial to the aerial input of the audio master.

Selecting option on the audio master

    Option: OPTION 1.5

    Press:  STAND-BY   SOUND 1 STORE
                       SOUND 5 STORE

If option programming is made using Beolink 1000 MK3/MK4 or MK5 press
LINK before the sequence SOUND x STORE

    ********************* AUDIO/VIDEO/LINK SYSTEM SETUP *******************

To obtain A/V intergration between these products the audio master
must be equipped with a Beolink software, part no. 8341052.
If the audio master is equipped with a Beolink software, it is
indicated by a sticker marked BEOLINK on the rear panel.

    Thanks Iggy!

I was not pressing sound 1 store!  I also looked on your website and it says if you push shift+radio it opens the AUX connection.  It works!  However, it does not work when I press link+shift+radio, OR av+shift+radio.

Is this because I don't see the sticker marked Beolink?  Is that part still available, and is it something I can intall?

    Thanks Again!

    Guy
