    New survey!!

Further to a thread in the Beogram section, which piece of B&O do we think is the most unfriendly to take apart!?

My money is on the Beocord 5000 Type 4705. A bit like a fireworks display with springs going everywhere!! Laughing  The only thing my service department ever turned away!!

Well the worst piece of B&O I have taken apart was a VX5000. There is just no space inside it at all.

The doors on a Beocenter 9500 are easy to take apart... and rather difficult to reassemble!

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

He he. I spent about 1/2 a day doing the same to a Beolit 609 that I bought non-working from a charity shop. The tuning wheel span freely, so I thought all it needed was a new cord. After many hours I had cracked it and had the new cord in place, only to realise that the whole set was knackered. In the end I sent it to Tim Jarman who fixed the electronics (and infomed me that I'd hooked the cord up the wrong way around anyway!)

    Never again!

The BeoCord 5500. I opened mine up and found it to be snap fits once you take the outer casing off. I couldn't get to the actual insides at all.

Beosound 9000 is one product that which would be a real challenge to dismantle without guidance. Not that it's difficult, just very clever.

No, actually that's fairly straightfoward! Remove back cover, unplug plugs and remove 4 screws. Open bin, place video in bin, close bin. Replace back cover.

    Takes five minutes at most.
