    I feel like a B&O Jason Bourne..

I was rewatching the Bourne film series last night, others might remember that scene where he notices how he's subconciously profiling everyone and subconsiously spotting danger. Well, this morning I watched the "Ruddy hell, it's Harry and Paul" comedy sketch show. In one scene, there's a B&O system and before it was even mentioned, I instantly thought "oh, there's a BC7000 in the background. Then I went to a music shop this afternoon and within about 3 seconds of entering, I spotted a set of S35's at the back of the room. Does anyone know if MI6 are hiring operatives to infiltrate the headquarters of Danish supervillains?

I know that feeling, Calvin. That happens to me all the time when I am watching TV. Strange, how B&O has washed our brains...

Funnily enought one of the actors in the new Bourne film has : 7-40 , 7.2 , 8000, 4000, 3200, and a bvis6-23. A really nice guy to talk too!!

B&O is featured in so many films and videos now and we all see it and always mention it! partners get so bored with this LOL

I feel the same! My parents get fed up with it, as most places them seem to take me end up having B&O in some way! Laughing I guess I'm just eagle eyed, or my parents have a very good taste in restaurants (which I'll admit they do).

Re: I feel like a B&O Jason Bourne..

Haha, yes I now the feeling. My buddies hate when we are watching a movie, (especially in the cinema), and I mention "oh there's a BS9000", "did you see those 8000's", and so on :o)
I've begun to mention it now when I spot Apple products to. One of my mates got pretty tired of it when we where watching Transformers :o)
And don't get me started on cars and movies. I saw Bourne Ultimatum yesterday and my friend turns to me and say, "I bet that's the V10 TDi engine in that Touareg", and I reply "I know", and then his girlfriend just shakes her head. It must be a disease :o)

Gah, apple products are almost even worse for it. The number of times I see someone open a laptop up and spot the apple light on the lid before it's out the carry case...

I accidentally zapped on some porn on the Tv and watched trough the whole movie (first time to ever do that). Couldn't stop looking at the BC9000 and BL8000 in the background. I even think I saw an old BeoVision MX in one scene.Hmm

Some time ago, when watching "The Devil Wears Prada" with SWMBO and seeing iMacs and San Pellegrino (Mineral Water) all the time, I sait to her "well it is clear, they payed to be seen" (product placement). But I never had that thought when spotting some B&O in a movie. What do you think?

B&O don't do product placement in that way. They don't pay a film producer in order to have their equipment placed in the set.

And what did you think when the BeoCom 2 showed up in that movie? That could be a "non-engineered" placement, though. I happen to know that Jarlsberg didn't pay anything to be in the movie, and their cheese is mentioned and shown several times.

Almost EVERY movie i see has B&O slipped into one of the scenes. It's so inconspicuous, that only a beofan could see it! I recently noticed an old beosystem in 'notes on a scandal', but the speakers weren't visible.

I am sure they don't, as Ferrari or Bentley would never do such product placement, they just don't need to, but they can be seen quite often in movies. But for smaller, less known brands, it sure is an interesting thing and I am sure they are willing to pay a lot of money for it.

The BeoCom 2 is not "placed" in "The Devil Wears Prada", it is just mentioned IMO, but San Pellegrino and Apple can be seen very often and in large quantity.

Like most of you i always have my B&O radar on, so i do see beo products in several movies; apple too, but i'm also a fan so i guess it's normal.

Sometimes i just ask myself what's normal... my friends say that i'm a B&O and Apple "junkie"... eheheheh

Another that i've started to notice is the presence of B&O and Apple product in some portuguese series, did anyone notice that in other countries?

Re: I feel like a B&O Jason Bourne..

Actually there is a article in a danish magazine adressing the issue of B&O appearing in movies. The author explains that B&O actually recieves so many requests to have their products in different movies/musicvideos etc. that they have to reject most of them. So compared to ordinary product placement where the producer pays the maker of the film, with B&O it is actually the other way around. Furthermore the article says that you will never see B&O equimpent in political uncorrect movies or movies with a lot of violence or sex, as they do not like to be identified with theese situations. Think about this the next time you see B&O in movies.

I always spot the B&O stuff both in movies and in real life, and then i have to tell my friends about it. The good thing is they dont seem to be annoyed by it, instead (if we're watching a dvd) they want to rewind it and check it out themselfs. I'm creating B&O fans Smile some of them are even getting pretty good at spotting B&O on their own hehe

Re: I feel like a B&O Jason Bourne..

Wish my friends were like that. They yell at me when I without hesitation loudly announces that I have spotted a BeoSomething during an action scene, or a scene with good looking girls etc.

I must admit that subconsciously scan every room I enter for B&O, and also every scene on TV.

    Living room: BV7-40 mkIV + V8000, BL5, BL3, BM1 and BS9000. Bedroom: MX3000 and BL4500 on MCL2-AV. Around: PentaIII, CX100 and MCX35 on ML/MCL + MCL2-A, BeoPort and BL4 on ML, BS3300 + M75 as stand alone, BC6000 + BC600 and BT1100, LC1, LC2, Beo4, Beo5 and BL1000, BS2 and A8, EarSet2, Apron, Coffee mugs, Enamel Bagdes, Bath towel, Keyring, Books, Lots of miniature and the Bottle opener. Office: BC2300 + BL2500 and BS3. Summer house: BS Century.

    Addicted? Oh no.... ;)

I drive my wife nuts with my B&O product radar!

I was always told by B&O staff thet B&O never offers their products for placement.  Whether they appear in TV shows or movies they are purchased and not just offered for advertising via product placement.  I would assume that if they are indeed purchased, then the buyer can use them as they see fit and not be restricted to "politically correct" programming.

I have seen B&O products in several shows which some may consider politically incorrect.

My favourite examples of b&o-on-the-telly is when it is vintage b&o that is shown. One example of this is an episode of Dexter, where an old Beogram TX (I think) turns up.

Apple can be quite aggressive in thier campaigns.. lots of blue apple everywhere and in your face which ruins it for me.. you just know its for the masses whereas as B&O would probably be more cautious with thier placements.

I have a wonderful Chayane video clip, probably shot somewhere in Latin America with a stunning apartment with B&O phone and stereo. It is such a good look!

And I always scan the pictures in the listing of home for sale in the newspaper Smile  There is a lot of nice and interesting set-ups. Even if the pictures are poor with low resolution it is often very easy to feel if there is some B&O hidden in the room or only kikinoko.
