BeoLab 5 speaker / tweeter blown

Just came home today to notice a slight buzzing from one of our BL5s and noticed it was the top speaker. Has anyone else had this ? I tried to do a search on the forum but had no luck.

Is this part expensive to replace ? I imagine it's mostly the labor cost of the repair ?

    Any help appreciated.

    thanks

    L

The Lab5's are worked on with a 'suitcase'

I think the dealer/repair shop will order every part needed. .then you get to pay for what is needed.  I had to have an amp module replaced in one of mine.  It malfunctioned above volume level 42.

The buzzing might be something to do with the amp?  Also, never hurts to try a new chord?

    Thanks

I'm ready for something new that I actually want to buy!

Swap cables (if you can) first before ringing the dealer, also check mains supply to the speaker by wiring it to a socket on a different loop.
