    BEOVOX S120 overload problem

    Hello

I have owned a pair of beauty beovoxs120 and it is my first post here.. :)

I have a problem with a subwoofer included beovox S120. When playing music with a clear low tone, system overload shut off the left column. I noticed also, when I jumped in front of the speaker, I heard a strange sound (same as the short circuit wires). Is it possible to the wire under the influence, the shock has been closed? Does anyone have a manual and had a similar problem?

    Thanks for any hints.

    best

    Radek

Not sure I exactly understand what you are saying but the overload switches may be oxidised. This is a known issue and I bypassed mine. If you do the same I would recomend it is only temporary!

Might be possible to pull them apart and clean the contacts? Contact Dillen I am sure he has more on this.

Another thing to check is the speaker sockets could be oxidised?

    Olly.

My MS150s suffered from this - it made them sound as if the bass units had blown. A quick clean by Tim and a bit of music and they were singing once more!
